PAINTING > Beetle Kill

The Beetle Kill paintings are based on piles of dead lodgepole pines lining the roads in Wyoming's Medicine Bow Mountains. As in many other places in the west, large numbers of trees have been killed by the mountain pine bark beetle. Alongside the roads, dead trees have been felled and pushed into towering piles.
